The Taste of Folly kicks off this Fri. Jan. 18 at Tides Folly beach with Cannon Distillery’s Cocktail Competition. The contest starts at 7 pm and will feature craft cocktails from participating Folly bars and restaurants. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and admission includes FREE 5 oz samples of ALL cocktails.
Then, mosey on back to Center Street for a full day of fun and food on Sat. Jan. 19. Starting at 10 am, you can listen to live music from one of the three stage areas, indulge in Folly’s culinary scene, and enjoy $5 Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails.
In between drinks stop by Bert’s hot dog eating competition, the server Olympics or catch a live cooking demonstration. The hot dog eating competition will start at 1 pm at Bert’s Market while the server Olympics and cooking demonstrations will be going on throughout the day at a variety of booths and restaurants. Of course, remember to check out the chili cook-off. The Taste of Folly tradition will take place on Center Street from 11 am – 3 pm, and it’s only $5 per person to taste.
Want to compete instead of watch? Enter online. Prizes will be given to all first, second, and third place winners in the competitions.
Kids are also welcome at the Taste of Folly in the kid’s area where they can jump the day away in one of the inflatables or partake in arts and crafts with the Folly Beach library.
